The system that excretes urine is a very important part of our body. Without it we would not be able to remove some waste products that build up.

This is why it is vital to ensure that this system of the body stays healthy by watching for symptoms that may indicate urinary tract infection.

A urinary tract infection is a build up of bacteria within the system in the body that produces the urine. Most of these are caused by bacteria that are in the bladder.

Bacteria that occur in the bladder are usually harmless when treated properly and promptly. However, if a delay in treatment happens the bacteria can spread to other organs belonging to the urine excretion system.

If the urinary tract infection moves to the kidneys there is the possibility for long term or permanent damage.

The most common course of treatment for urinary tract infection would be a course of antibiotics.

Other methods for the treatment of a urinary tract infection and the accompaning bacteria would be quite easily be readily availabe from your own doctor or the indeed the internet.

One common symptom for urinary tract infection is frequent urges to urinate with very little urine coming out. Another very common sign of urinary tract infection is pain or burning when urinating.

This usually is most noticeable toward the end of the urine stream. Urine with a notable bad smell or that appears to be cloudy is also a sign of a possible urinary tract infection.

If you believe and suspect that one has a urinary tract infection then you should immediately have tests carried out by your doctor to make sure that the bacteria has not spread which may cause other problems leading to further long term damage.

While it may be something other than urinary tract infection, it is always best to be sure when there is the possibility of long term problems.
